Looks a nice scope and the review is promising.

It should provide plenty of happy nights observing, let us know how you get on with it.

BTW, welcome to the slippery road.

...the one that goes like this...

1) Mark I Eyeball

2) Binoculars

3) Tasco 70mm reflector/Bresser 70mm refractor/National Geographic 60mm paperweight

4) Skywatcher Explorer 130p

5) 8" Dobsonian with red dot finder and 32mm 2" eyepiece

6) 10" Schmitt Cassegrain (SCT) with 24 eyepieces and filters, GoTo controls, 2" tubular steel legged tripod and powerpack

7) 12" LX200 GPS with equatorial Wedge, Nagler 17mm eyepiece and Hyperion 9mm (plus the other 24 eyepieces, powerpack, and now also with a Kendrick dew heater)

8) Observatory

9) Meade 16" Lightbridge Truss Dob (minus the wife and kids - simply because it's stuck in your living room/utility room/bedroom/airing cupboard/shed)

10) Obsession 24" truss Dob with slew-to motion controls

11) 28"/30"/32" mirror kit with no money left in your bank account to build a push-to Dobsonian - probably because SWMBO got everything else in the divorce...

12) Selling of the Observatory for food.

It's inevitable!

Thanks for that Seanie. Now I can plan the next 5 years. Must remember to set up a food store. I'd hate to get as far as 11 and have to sell the lot.
