You've all probably heard that the Japanese Mars probe was in trouble...
well it's now defiantly down and out.

Taken from BBC news web site...

Japan has given up on its first interplanetary space mission on the final
leg of the journey to Mars.
Officials have decided not to put the Nozomi space craft into orbit around
the planet. Last-ditch attempts to fix an onboard electrical fault have
failed, and the probe will be steered off into space.

That is a terrible pitty.

Looks like the curse of Mars has struck again ... fingers crossed for Beagle 2!
