Columbia was created by Mikey fergus
Hi guys was surfing around the net today and found this. Apparently theres 5 pic's taken by an astronomer that shows columbia being 'shot down' by alien craft. Most of this seems like rubbish but there seems to be plenty of educated people who take it seriously. Are these people deluded? Whats going on here?

Pretty much, yet another unsubstantiated myth to join the likes of "we didn't land on the moon", "elivis is not dead", "george W blew up the WTC".

When you make an extrordinary claim you must provide extrordinary proof.

The sad truth about Columbia is that it was doomed from the moment of take-off, that NASA would have been aware of this as soon as they examined the take-off footage where the foam can be seen striking the wing and that the mission parameters were such that nothing whatever could be done about it.

That's why all bar one of the missions since have been to the ISS which can put up the astronauts until another shuttle can be put up to get them down if the first craft is disabled as Columbia was. The Hubble mission will have a shuttle ready on the ground in case anything goes wrong.

No need to invoke aliens to explain this - cock-up is a much better explanation.
