That is pretty neat! But tell me, does your eye pick up a sharper image? I get almost the same kind of image in the Skylux 70mm (those 2 bands and all), but its sharper around the edges. I presume your image is down to the ccd/webcam you are using...

Seanie - I still have the facal reducer on and no Barlow - it'd take me too long to refocus etc. And the clouds are rolling in...
The DSI is OK for planetary but is better for deep sky - a Toucam Pro would be far better than what you see live tonight. Must get my hands on one...

The toucam would show a better image then that, but not by much.
You must remember that all those fab planetary images are derived from stacking and wavelet enhancing in registax, which makes a colossal differance.
I like the moon images, this is great fun.

Yeh - clouds came in so 'the moon, is the only, light we'll see' da da dum dum etc...
Actually, I have a confession. I'm rubbish at lunar details... Where am I - is that scarp to the upper left something like Valle wotsit? Please excuse my lunar ignorance....
