Jupiter with Canon EOS300D was created by James Butler
I was sure that imaging the planets with the Canon was possible. Finally, I have the hang of Registax and created a passable image of Jupiter.

Conditions were far from perfect but from just a stack of 11 shots at 1/8 of a second the result is pretty good with the Great Red Spot visible. I look forward to a better image with a few hundred shots. That will be quite a long night. Not least because Registax is not too keen on the large size of Canon images. Most of the night will be spent cropping them in PSP.

Hi James,
thats a good image.
I also tried the canon a while back on the planets but found it much more difficult to focus compared to the toucam due to the small image size.
