APOD today has a composite image of Venus over the past few months by Pete Lawrence.

It's given me a lot of pleasure over the last 6 months or so, therefore I
guess I owe it this...

Dear Shane,

Thank you for the information in relation to The Sky At Night. I was absolutely floored when the show's producer called on behalf of Sir Patrick asking for the image! :-)

She apologized for not being able to offer any sort of payment but I did assure her that Sir Patrick's request and the appearance of the work on his show was payment in itself.

I do get the BBC on satellite but it is the international version and I do not think they carry The Sky At Night. Damn it.

Anthony.

Hi Connor,

Thanks for the link. I will check back later this month for the online version of the show.

There is a VHS tape on its way from the show's producer which makes me very happy.

Clear skies to all!

Anthony.

With all the bad weather receintly, I decided to copy the Master and make up an sequence of images of Venus which I took over the first half of the year.

These range from January up to the transit in June.

Anybody see it in the morning over the last month or so ??
I was so used to seeing it in the evening sky, it was like a permanent feature.
