RAW converter was created by michaeloconnell
Here's a link to a RAW converter. Some people have less than complimentary things to say about the standard RAW conversion tool bundled with the Canon and the Photoshop Raw converter has also been passed over by some. Here's a link to an alternative:

I'm just downloading itself so can't comment yet on how good or bad it is. However, the sample images shown are interesting.

There have been problems with the raw converter of Photoshp 7 but Photoshop CS is flawless.

For viewing the fabuloous Picassa (free) by Google shows them too and allows typical simple enhancements of pictures.
A must-have for your terestial pictures:

That's interesting Jouke. I have CS so I should be ok.
I gave dcraw a try but it didn't work properly for me anyway.

I'm currently downloading picasa - I've heard alot about it.

For the adventurous or unix folks or folks who like looking at code:
www.cybercom.net/~dcoffin/dcraw/

I deleted picassa of my laptop btw, its constant insistance on scanning very large files over and over, and hogging the disk while doing so was too annoying. Fastone is a little better www.faststonesoft.com/FSViewerDetail.htm similar type of thing. Jalbum is good if you are finished tweaking them and just want to display them in a browser with thumbnails etc.

WHen you install picasa make sure you tell it to limit its search to My documents and its subs only. Otherwise, indeed, it keeps track of ALL disc movement.
What I like about Picasa is its User interface. Its SMOOTH and intuitive. Those guys have done their homework.

Have fun!
