Keith, that picture is a fake... but there is a 300D replacement expected to be announced this year.

Much like the 300D is a cut down version of the 10D in a plastic body, the 300D's successor is likely to be a cut down 20D in a plastic body - so expect an 8 megapixel sensor and faster response from the camera. Not really worth the upgrade if you already have the 300D.
