Irregular Mare Patches on the Moon was created by John Moore
This is my latest book about
Irregular Mare Patches
(Amazon link) - extraordinary volcanic features containing unusual mounds (think of the Ina Structure), which are still proving very puzzling today. Their actual age is also proving controversial amongst the astronomical lunar community: some suggesting they are very old, others saying they are very young (geologically-speaking).
Using up to 400 images taken by the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO), the book presents 110 IMPs in all, gives a brief description of what they are, and how they may have formed. Two samples below.
Hope it's of interest?
