Hi Jenek.If you want mountains just go 60km to the west.
The Connemara Mountains look stunningly extraterrestrial as they sweep into the North Atlantic.
And they have zero light pollution.

Hey Janek, welcome to Galway! Hope you enjoy your stay here.

You'll make good use of your Dob here. There's lots of really nice dark skies a few miles from town, particularly out west or close to Athenry.

Will probably bump into you at the meetings :D
