Welcome Home!!!
:D

Hope your scope arrives in good nick.

If you really have withdrawlds and want to get stuck
into observing with your local (shannonside) club..
then why not come along to Boher on Friday night!??

I can't see a pile of us going but I know a few die-hards
might..

I would guess that the usual crowd would show up, its worth giving it a go anyway, considering it could rain for the next 3 months, I tend to take every clear night I can get.

I would love to go but I have to be up at 6am on Saturday morning to travel to Dungarvan (the company annual boat fishing trip). I might pop out for an hour or two.
Did anyone see the ISS last night (11.30pm-ish)?

I've been watching it for a few nights now.
Last night I took some shots of it passing over the house...

Yes John, I was out at the back of the house setting up the scope and I never cease to be amazed at how something moving in the sky can catch your attention even though you are not particularly 'looking up' and there was the ISS crossing the sky. Jupiter was nearly as high as it gets over the trees at the end of the garden and I tried to compare their brightnesses -- very close I reckon.
I had only just read Terry Moseley's missive which included 4 images (I think) from one nights ISS crossings earlier in the week.

Conn Buckley.
