Download Stellarium or Cartes du Ciel.

These are planetarium programs which will display the stars for your location and help you to identify them.

I would also recommended buying a planisphere thats suited to our latitude. Definatly one of the best tools to have you can pick them up in alot of book shops. ohhh and dont forget a red-light : blink:
