Wow was created by StephenD
Its been atleast 14 years since i looked at the moon through any magnification besides my glasses. Tonight i used 7x binos and said whoa thats amazing, then i used my ancient but working telescope and was completely blown away, i forgot how beautiful it is and using the barlow lense (after finaly finding out what it was for haha) felt like i could actually touch the craters even with all the imperfections in the lense heheh. I actually thought to myself, thats not that far away, whats the big deal with landing on it?
This makes me determind to get a better telescope in the new year! :woohoo:

Morning eclipse was even more impressive. I encouraged my neighbour to get up 6.30am. Together we watched Moon disappearing in Earth's shadow. The real challenges was Moon's position (just above horizon) and clouds. Still, that was great fun.
