Oh, I got it! U mean the famous "process failed" legend, right?

You should see the avatar with Lt Commander Data. Priceless!

I wish I knew where he finds these gems.

Dear friends,
Another issue is the TAL telescope factory located in Novosibirsk www.telescopes.ru/product.html?cat=1 .
I have a TAL 2M (6inch reflector) and I know that TAL telescopes are high quality and very low priced. I am considering to buy a 4 or 5 inch TAL refractor.
There is a new one on the site, TAL-125 APO, but no info at all. Any news?

The TAL organizes tours and visits to the factory, rents telescopes and offers an observing spot at their eclipse camping site www.total-eclipse-2008.com/ . Are you guys interested in that option? I have sent e-mail & wait for prices. I will let you know soon, I hope.

Seanie,

It is a blessing in disguise that we are separated by a few thousand kilometers or, otherwise, we would turn things upside-down wherever we happened to be at the time.

Vageli,

I sent them email approximately three weeks ago and NO reply so far. More specifically, I asked if it is possible for me to rent a german equatorial mount for mounting my Tak FSQ which I plan to bring with me ... and they seem to have ignored my inquiry.

The worst case scenario is that I would bring my AP Mach1GTO as well but, if possible, I would like to simply bring along the FSQ alone.

Anthony,

I think they produce 3 mounts:
- TAL MT 3S Heavy-duty stepper mount www.grootven.be/productdetails.asp?PID=905 and
- TAL GEM-2: This is the one I have, remember Kastellorizo?
- TAL GEM-3: The light version of GEM-2

Hope they answer soon.
