I did the Antarctica 2003 eclipse from the air. It's definitely worth doing once from a plane! Cost is a big issue (although there are ways to lower it - media involvement and such) but even bigger is getting an airline and a willing and skillful pilot.

Colm Barrington is an ex-pupil. Maybe we could start there...

Can anyone remember if this worked?

Do you think it could get rid of the clouds?

I wonder how expensive it would be to get done...

You could always build your own “Cloud-Buster”, Graham:)

Graham - I just wasted 14 minutes of my life watching a man make a contraption that did not result in a bang.:(

For 14 minutes I want bang for buck :) - mystical energy from crystals - doesn't cut it for me.

Keep up the research - you might strike lucky...

Graham - whilst watching the videos I was even checking where I could get copper pipe from - only to get to the end of the second video and thing "what?" I was expecting to see him "light the blue touch paper" and stand well back... And where the heck do you get those crystals anyway?

Disappointed (especially with the current forecast)
Dave
