Got a text from Aurora Man today

"Possibility of an aurora tonight
as data indicates the KP is at 5(storm)
and Bz -10,
not sure of kp over Ireland.
you might post on Ifas.
im working so no aurora"

HA, with our weather, its just one kick in the head after another, we missed the aurora last week, now more of the same.

Clear skies all last night & today.
We get a sniff of Aurora activity and
along marches a storm.

If it's any consolation guys, I went up to Ballygalley Head and took some long exposures facing north, though the sky was hazy, there was not a hint of green anywhere in it. I reckon it was all over before sundown.

Naw displacement on my magnetometer was about 60-80nT which is a bit of a tickle but definitely not enough for visible rra
