2005 YU 55 was created by astroado
Well just found out I will be working Tuesday night, was really hoping to get a glimpse of 2005 YU 55 the near earth asteriod, wonder if it can be seen with the naked eye, might get a few minutes to have a look if I can sneak out. Does anyone know what area of the sky I should watch? and at what time? Thanks in advance.
Clear skies. :-(

It will only get to mag 11 at 4am on the 9th and moving at 300 - 500 arcsec per min so not going to be naked eye. It will be in Pegasus north of a bright moon.

right, only the evening of 9th is the opportunity for us to see him, with a disturbing full moon as well.

make a good finder chart with following positions in UT (taken from minorplanetcenter.org):
