Spotted this display at about 2:40am (Friday morning) on my way home for work. I pulled in (without a camera!), and what I found funny was that I thought I was noticing 2 patches of NLCs. They were close together, but still seperated.

Your photo is nice Dave! But I can see the effects of morning twillight on them - they are quite faint against the approaching light. Nice shot all the same!

Faint but nice , were they more prominent to the eye,?
There's no chance in hell I'll be seeing aything at that time of the morning, no way I'd be up. :lol:

They were quite striking but they were struggling against the dawn. Heres a better representation.
