I haven't seen anything quite as good this year as I saw last year though June 7th was pretty good, and of course in recent days I've seen nothing as the weather has been from hell! It's good that you guys get to see NLCs as you're quite a bit to the south of me - there's reports coming in this week from London which is pretty unusual. Larne seems to be well within the optimum latitude as those further north don't get a dark enough sky.
There is a forum dedicated to NLCs (no,no, not another forum I hear
at
nlcnet.proboards77.com
run by Tom McEwan who is an authority on the matter.
Gives us someting interesting to look at during the light summer months - up here it doesn't get properly dark from mid-May to the end of July.
Clear skies,
Paul.
