For some reason over the weekend, the website kept getting hammered with requests.
I am still unsure if it was denial of service attack or we just got swamped by a load of users.
I think at one point over the weekend, the user load was 300 users.
I tweaked a few settings in the web server last night to try to deal with the loads.
I'll keep an eye on it over the next few days to ensure we can cope with a huge increase in load

I know I tried a few times last night
and it was down.
I just figured it was an unannounced 'down time' for fixes.
I wonder are they logging each request as a single 'user' ?

Looks like the attack is over.
We tweaked some settings and we think the website is faster.
Please us your feedback on the performance so we know if it has changed for others.

Who'd want to Denial of Service attack this site? Or is it a general attack on the hosting server?
