Some more photo questions.

Hi, Its me again.
I have a few questions regarding film photography.
I have a canon eos 300 camera. Only thing is I cant see a 'B; setting to keep the shutter open, and none of the settings on it seem to keep the shutter open. Has anyone got any experience in using one of these?
I want to start off with just taking short(less than 10 sec) photos of the sky. What film should I use? Has anyone got any useful tips for doing this.
And for the long term , where do I buy a T-ring?

If the EOS 300 you're referring to is the EOS 300D / Digital Rebel, then switch the camera into Manual mode and rotate the dial (behind the shutter button) to the left until the viewfinder shows "bulb". This is the B setting.

You should be able to find a T-Ring for the camera in any decent camera shop.

Hi Stephen,

I don't have this camera, however I'd be surprised is there wasn't some way of keeping the shutter open.
Any chance you could take a look at the camera again and check the following for us:

1) On the top right-hand side of the camera there should be a little wheel that you can rotate to select the exposure settings. Could you list off for us all the settings listed on the wheel please.
(If there isn't a "B" on the list, hopefully there might be an "M" or some toher similar setting)

2) Look the the button next to it which you press to take a photo.
Does it have a little hole in the centre of the button into which something might be able to screw into it?

It's the original film version he has by the sounds of it Gary.

One of the reasons why it's not working is that in more modern cameras the battery is used for timeing. try new batteries and see if that solves the problem.

Its the standard (non digital ) Camera. On the dial thing I know it has an 'M' on it, but there is no 'B'. There is no threads in the button.
