Thats excellent - to get images of the progenitor just hours before it goes BANG.....
It should produce some excellent data and help our understanding of SNs more.
What type of SN was it classified as????

What type of SN was it classed as?

The outburst was 100 billion times brighter than Earth's sun.

I'm guessing it a pretty big fecker. Top of it's class?
