Well done Galway Astronomy Club was created by dave_lillis
May I say well done to Galway astronomy club for the fabulous star party yesterday, the talkers were excellent as was the location.
The quiz at the end of the night was great craic, I also enjoyed the trip down to the universitys observatory, very impressive.
I wish our club had a telescope like it

To all the folks at GAC - in echoing Dave's sentiments above I just wanted to say thanks for a great day. The speakers were all truly professional and gave fascinating presentations. Organisation on the day was excellent - a job extremely well done by all the organisers.

It was truly a pleasure to be there and I'm already look forward to next year!

Thanks everyone for those kind words, day went very well, talks were very interesting especially Franciscos. But I think Shannonside brought a little bit of the Whirlpool with them, The sound problems! Ha. Ha. To our suprise the portable mic was not working that morning and could not be fixed in time. The telescope at the University was amazing, first time i have seen it. Thanks also to everyone who stayed for the qiuz, was good craic, special thanks to Mr Bell, for his answer to "How long is a piece of string". Well im wrecked after organising a 1 day event, i dont know how ye manage to organise a two or even like Seanie a Three day. Anyways roll on Cosmos 2005, see ye all there.

I, too, would like to extend my thanks and congratulations. It was a great day, and the quiz was fun from the moment the names began being drawn, so all I need to do now is to book my place for the next year's one :-)

Again, congratulations and many thanks,
Jim.

Have Fun,
Jim
