hi there
You have to take your observing chances when they come.
Had some nice observing sessions last week. However Astrofoecast left me down a few times on its predictions. It does not seem to be good on freezing fog. IE Set up scope, aligned and looked at M42. It was gerat. Then went in for dinner. Came out 90 minutes later and all was cloudy. Left system run for 4 hours, but no good. At least I know the system works at -5 deg C.
Has anyone any comments on Astrofest and Fog?
Wind Guru seems to give good cloud predictions if you are on teh coast.

I had added a gel retarder to the paint it helps it to dry slowly so ye can shift it around for a bit longer. However after about an hour it was getting , dry and difficult to use.

I was doing a small painting , a study for a large canvas ,now I have to wait for the next Tycho opportunity to do more observing to finish it .

The hat is Tesco's best really cheap and warm. :-)
