I managed to get out for the previous two nights, see sketching forum, man it was cold, especially last night, I touched the scope with my bare fingers around one in the morning and it was painful. Because I was sketching my right hand had on a fingerless glove and the tips of my fingers quickly became numb.

With the amount of gear I was wearing I was quite comfortable, except for my face, beacuse I wear glasses a covering on the mouth only results in fogged up glasses.

Still, it was enjoyable and I was pleased with the sketches I got.

I don't think I'll go out again tonight, the wife thinks I'm insane :silly: and has the number of the guys in the white coats on speed dial.

It has to be done Dee, did the paint become more difficult to use in the cold conditions?

Nice hat, I have a similar one, they are fantastic for keeping the head warm.

Does the paint not freeze in the snow ?
I was out for a small while with binos a few nights back, and oh dear god was it cold.!!
If I hadnt had gloves, I'd be in hospital with frost bite.
