Out of action

Hello everyone again.
My wife Valerie and I met Professor Lars Nolke last Saturday afternoon.
And I must state he is a true gentleman.
He informed us of all the important details with regards my upcoming triple bypass operation - plus the fitting of an aortic valve to one of my arteries.
I had warned him I was squeamish, but I must say the way he described the operation with simple diagrams, and I never felt like fainting.
He answered each of our questions most amicably.
Yes. We would have a change to my current medication.
I would be in Blackrock Clinic for 7 to 10 days. Folks are free to visit me 2 days after my operation.
There is a 97% guarantee that I will survive this operation. When he talked about the 3% possibility of not surviving, Valerie leaned forward immediately and said: "Aubrey will go to Heaven". My wife is such a fine Bible-believing Christian!
All that's left to say is: What is the date of my operation?
We will be informed very soon - perhaps within the next fortnight.

I'm sorry I cannot use my refractor these nights.
But there is always the future to look forward to.

Valerie and I have just come home from an Irish Astronomical Society.
We had a brilliant talk from one of our female members who is also an excellent sketcher.
That reminds me I'm looking forward to receiving your sketch of Jupiter. Please send it to me when you can. There is no particular rush. I should be capable to look after the Observer's Corner.
I hope to invite our observers for their contributions in March.
John 3 v 16 is a tremendous memory verse. Many have said it's the most important verse in the entire Bible.

I can now inform you all my friends that my triple bypass operation will take place on Friday 15th March.
As a result I won't be on the IFAS website for the 7 days after the operation.
I would like to thank Michael Murphy for allowing me to share this news.
But it is because I have been being no observing in recent months.
For those of you who do pray, even from time time, I would encourage you to do so for me and my wife Valerie.
I will chat at the later stage regarding my thoughts about the close down of this website.
