What area does each club cover? was created by jhonan
Could someone tell me, for each of the IFAS member clubs, which counties they cover? (e.g. does Cork cover Kerry as well, or is that Shannonside?)

Thanks,
John.

I can't speak for other clubs but Astro2 MEMBERSHIP is only open to students of NUI Maynooth however non-students are welcome at our events, they just can't vote in AGMs, EGMs or GMs and cannot hold committee possitions.

As Secretary of TAS, I can safely say from our members that we cover Offaly, Westmeath, Laois, and even a bit of Meath!

I'll think youll find that the various clubs have fairly extensive areas! Once obvious gap is in the south east, but when the folks in Wexford get their club together that will be covered too.

Of course if theres not a club nearby then you can always start one with a few friends, theres plenty of people here to give advise and help get speakers for talks etc.

Hi everyone, I noticed a mention was made of a gap in coverage in the southeast. Here I am a total beginner living in Waterford, having picked up a second hand Celestar 8" I'm in need of advise in its use. :?

If there is anyone nearby who can help give me a mail.

Thanks and by the way great site1!!

According to the latest issue of Arcturus, (which I'm sure John Flannery will post about tomorrow!), there is now a `Slaneyside Astronomers` group and David Bell is the man to contact. personal message to sdbell or mail to sdbell%gofree.indigo.ie
