Air-powered Rocket Launches

This year, MAC member (and Engineer) Bob Campbell has constructed a pressurised air platform to act as a launch pad for up to 4 rockets! Building your rocket is easy: you just need an empty pop bottle (the 1.5 litre to 2.5 litre kind) and get creative! The bottle neck is the 'exhaust', so your rocket has to be built upside-down so to speak. This event will take place during the lunch break on Saturday afternoon from around 1:45pm and is open to all visitors to COSMOS, young and old.

Good luck!

Hi Ronan et all,

Rates for Cosmos:

€30 Weekend (includes refreshments).
€20 Saturday or Sunday only (includes refreshments).
€5 Friday only.

Children under 12 are gladly welcomed free with an accompanying, paying adult.

We will also have lunch offers so that you can buy a kind of 'one ticket fits all' according to your stay duration. Visitors always found this handy at previous COSMOS star parties. Details will be at the registration desk.
