Insurance & Membership fees for IFAS are still due from some clubs so can they arrange for a rep to pay at Cosmos this weekend please? I have put a note in the Committee section for those clubs....

Hi folks. It appears the weather will NOT be good for our Cosmos weekend except possibly for solar observing in the daytime.

Fantastic weekend! I enjoyed every minute of it. Great talks, great venue and really well organised. Well done to the midlands astronomy club. Its really nice to meet people in the offline world too occasionally :D

Ir was great to see 6 sunspots in the white light filter as Valerie and I were leaving, and 2 glorious prominences in the H-alpha filter. All the lectures were delivered with great passion. My personal favourite was John McKeown on Saturday morning -he was great at waking me up!! Perhaps I shall get to use my scope at next year's Cosmos. It was great to meet both John and William Bean for the 1st time.
