Trevor - the Uranian moons are currently going through a series of mutual eclipses and occultations - something that only happens every 40 years. The last time this happened (1966) CCD's were not around so its a great opportunity (until 2010) for folks to record these events for scientific purposes.

For visual observing, since Uranus is bright, and the moons close, you will only see the outer larger moons, if any. I have certainly captured a couple of them by imaging but I'm not sure you'd see them visually with the 8". You might.
