Twas great fun Dave alright.
Those Siamese Twins were pretty cool.
And as for those 9 galaxies in the same FOV - that was amazing! Never seen that before! :shock:

Same for me, its great just to pan around that section of the sky and discover nice surprises like that.

Do tell, what part of sky was this in? I thought the sheer size of the Obsessionator's FOV (small compared to smaller aperture instruments) would not allow such a view. :?:

Well Seanie,
The eyepiece was a 26mm T5 nagler (82degree) which gave a 51 arc minute field of view, nearly 2 full moons.
As for the galaxies, the scope was on M86, good maps will show a wealth of galaxies in its vicinity.

Apparently an 8" can show up to 200 galaxies in the Virgo Coma Cluster
