Just came across this ...... should be interesting???
Any ideas of what it might be about????

Interesting...as Chandra is involved we can rule out many things. Thought at first it may be something to do with the black hole at the centre of our galaxy but that's hardly hot news. Then I thought maybe evidence of a recent supernova in our galaxy. But then I went back to the centre of our galaxy and did some digging. On the 2nd May, the Chandra Observatory announced it was to commence observations of SgrA in collaboration with the VLT this week and Chandra staff can process data in two days to observers so perhaps some exciting new discovery. But would the observers dissemble and rush out with news so quickly especially as Chandra had more scheduled SgrA observations planned. Guess we'll have to wait and see.

This is NASAs BIG announcement. Not an earth like planet, not a black hole close by, but still something pretty significant.

More interesting was the posted comments at the bottom of the article. I can imagine NASA blushing over this one and if they don't, they should.

A tweeny bit over-hyped alright.

My favourite comment at the bottom of the page was this one:

They were better off finding socks lost in the dryer.
