Live webcast was created by dmcdona
Folks - I have put up a live webcast which is currently running.

I'm still testing the software/hardware here in Celbridge.

If you want to take a look, the site is here:

homepage.eircom.net/~dmcdona/liveon.htm

If you have any constructive feedback, I'd appreciate it.

Also note that I have created a distribution list to ntify folks by email when a webcast is about to start. If you want to subscribe to the list, let me know your email address. My contact details are on the webast site.

Cheers

I can't find the buttons to let me control your scope ;-)

You mention

"As more images are integrated into the composite, the image below will sharpen and become more detailed."

How are you achieving that? Sounds kind of like registax on the fly...

Buttons will ba added later but you must promise not to slew the scope into the mount :D

The Meade DSI composites the image on the fly - you assign a tracking point (normally a star or crater) and it acts like registax on the fly. Pretty cool.

COOL,
so this is a live view through the scope using a webcamera or dsi?
Will you point it at the planets, maybe even mercury if you get a good horison.

Dave - using a Meade DSI. If we ever get a clear sky and I can get a good view of the Western horizon, then Mercury is a goer. Otherwise, its Arials on the mountain!

The Webcast is back on again.

Folks - the webcast is now off-line. Other than a few technical issues, it seemed to go OK. A couple of folks signed up to receive email notifications of a live webacst so that was positive.

If anyone has any comments/suggestions or if anyone fancies collaborating (I know there's a few of you interested in this) , let me know.

Cheers
