Just wondering what people think of this:
www.arnierosner.com/are/index.htm
Basically, you pay a fee for x hours telescope time where you can take astro images useing some really good quality and expensive equipment.
Just wondering what people here thought of it?
Is it a great idea whereby you can take images with great scopes and cameras almost every night of the year
or
is it a somewhat a distant and "artificial" way to take images?

Did you see the Takahashi 300 on the paramount !!!
There is a serious amount of money in the equipment there.
I'd be afraid I get seriously hooked on this.

Might be worth a try during the week, maybe get a shot of that Supernova near Cepheus ?!?
This would be a great way of getting images of obscure objects, those which you can't already find on the web somewhere else for free.

Mind you, you cant beat sitting next to your own scope and looking through it or taking images when the weather isn't as crap as it is this evening.

"good" was perhaps a slight understatment alright!
The cameras they have are also excellent. they also sell their old stuff on the site. They sometimes have their old gear up for sale.
I'm seriously tempted to buy an hour's observing time and see what happens. It's a very cheap way of doing astrophotography.
