Long time lurker, don't do any observation, as have a (12"Dob) which is tedious to use, tracking
Studied Physics/Astrophysics so more into the science.
look forward to adding something to the forum.

Hi Folks,
I've made a few posts already and have just realised I have not introduced myself officially!
This time last year I eventually decided to scratch a long term itch and take up astronomy properly. I'm now a member of Cork Astronomy Club. I live in the countryside near Coachford, 20km west of Cork city and am lucky to have quite dark skys to look at(when it's not cloudy ).
Equipment wise I have an Meade etx70 and a Skywatcher 250p newt. The latter is on a home made portable pier which I have just finished in time for this season of viewing. My next project is to build a motorised mount for the 10" newt above. Just deciding the style of mount is the biggest prob!

Hello to all.
A little about myself. I'm an animator from Cork and I've recently fallen in love with all things astronomical.
I've always had an interest but now that I've come to really appreciate astronomy, I'm hugely looking forward
to posting and getting involved here.
Don't be a stranger!
