I was only saying during the week that the secondary mirror in the scope is bigger then the aperture of my first scope many years ago.

What is the size of it Dave?

The secondary is about 3 inches across.

All 3 inches and I can't believe you wiped the dew off it with tissue in front of Chris Lintott

Well, it was either that or pack up, I had anticipated I'd have to do this so I had what I needed to do it. It's not recommended you do it but if you're very careful and the mirror is very clean starting off, it can be done with no harm, besides, re-coating a small secondary is not so much. I checked the mirror when I got home and it was non the worse after it. I expect to re-coat the secondary every 5-10 years anyway and if I can push the primary out to 10 years, I'd be doing well.
