Super image, Paul!
Thank you for sending it in.
I've just had 15 minutes of some breaks in the clouds.
All 7 sisters have reappeared at 40X.

The seven have the names: Merope (right next to Venus), Electra, Taygeta, Maia, Alcyone (to Venus' north), Atlas and Pleione.

Of course I'm still staying out for one more view!

Aubrey.

Very well done to those who've managed to observe the event tonight.

I'm still waiting on an opportunity to see it before it dips behind a house. In saying that I did see Venus shining bright as I opened my front door, but by the time I looked through the eyepiece it was gone.

One more break in the clouds within the next 30 minutes and I'll get to observe it sitting amongst the seven sisters.... Come on clear skies, or at least a clear spot in the right place :)

Did see Venus and Alcyone in binoculars at 11.45 :)  that was it though... dashed off a few photos but they only show Venus... oh well, better luck on April 4th 2028!

Well done Finbarr!

I'm sure it was worth the wait.

Clear skies,

Darren.
