You're missing my point.
The reason why I won't click on the videos
is not because I don't agree with you
(in fact, you still have not put forward your position)
it's because you simply inserted them
there after a rant without any preface
as to what they are about or weather
they are there to support or compliment
your 'point'.
I'm not going to just click on some random
video.
So, can I be direct here.
If you can (without unfounded insults)
please tell us in simple english what you
are trying to say.
I'm "reading into" your replies that
you believe that the sprite like object
is in fact an alien craft?
Am I correct in assuming this?
Also can you clarify,
regarding my "unusual sighting" post.
Again, you don't state anything directly
but it appears again that you believe
from my vague description of something
that again you are sure it must in fact be an alien spaceship.
Is this correct?
I am genuinely trying to understand
what you are trying to say.
So if you could clarify, that would be great.
Just on a side note,
you seem to read into my replys
as some sort of disagreement to you.
You seem to assume quite a lot from this.
Let me just say you don't know me or
what I believe or don't believe.
I'm willing (one more time) to
ignore the insult and ask you to put forward
in plain English what your argument is.
So,
over to you...

The paragraph beginning "Here's to the crazy ones" in GLIESE 581G's last post is a direct quote from the late Steve Jobs. Even the 'crazy ones' should acknowledge their sources.
Same applies to images; the remarkable shots of Jupiter ("taken with celestron c-11 with TS Optics 3 Megapixel Digitalcamera at f50") in the Flickr photostream referred to in GLIESE 581G's forum posts bear a striking similarity to images posted by the well known astrophotographer Brian G. Combs (e.g. bcastropics.com/images/view/361 ).
GLIESE 581G has posted a number of intemperate messages on this forum. Frank Ryan's response is extremely reasonable and I want to support him. I think it is quite fair to ask GLIESE 581G to state his position, and perhaps he should also respond to the issue of the use, without attribution, of material produced by others.

Didn't we have an unusually large amount of rain round about then?
Could it be that some power supply infra structure (eg sub stations) arced due to rain?
My very limited understanding is that sprites occur above thunder clouds.
I don't recall thunder storms over this period (I'm in D15) and what you have imaged is pretty close to the horizon.
Just my 2c.
