Also, there is space on the clubs page for each club to have a paragraph about themselves.

Where are the Clubs pages?

Sorry, see it here !! Buts still very small - and long! If more content is added, it will just become longer!

I know all that! My point is simply, for all its intents and purposes, IFAS only has a small box on the front page with a list of its member clubs acting as hyperlinks. I have long since found (suggested to me by many others) that a small page with where each club is located, its activities, and perhaps, if clubs themselves are responsible, snippets about latest news and events, as well as upcoming meetings, with a link to a main site (IF any), etc should be included on IFAS itself - as its an umbrella of these clubs. The rest e.g. photos, reports, histories, services, etc etc can be found on their respective main sites.

So basically what you really want is www.irishastronomy.org/ifas/members.php to have more info about each club and use that rather than the unhelpful www.irishastronomy.org/clubs/index.php ? Cool, go pester the club reps :-)

Listing of activities is another matter. Bart had/has plans for some form of calendar that events can be added to. Clubs still need to be a bit more proactive about this though, as John Flannery pointed out here recently, he doesnt even get this information sent for arcturus, and very few clubs put details of their events on the club section here.

Cheers,
~Al

TAS can volunteer some information ino the latter page you mentioned Albert, perhaps others will follow suit? 2 to 3 paragraphs of short information?

Perhaps they will if you go and pester them for the information. Thanks for volunteering ;-)

Yup, calendar plans are still on.

Pushing would be great but remember, IFAS cannot push clubs, we can only beg!
