Just received my new 11" telescope today !!!

Just kidding.
Lets hope for clear skies tonight. A good time to try out my 15x70s on the tripod.

Are you kidding? Have you seen the forecast for tonight and tomorrow? Lets just say tat on a scale, the Beaufort Scale, of 1 to 12, (1 being the best conditions, 12 being the worst ;)), we're expecting 9 and 10...

Lovely. I'm giving up on this one already (unles Met Eireann and Sky got it wrong, I'll find out in about 12 hours), and planning ahead for the next one on Feb 21st 2008.

It was brilliantly clear here last night, and it mostly broken cloud here at the moment, although that can change in less then 10 minutes.

I'm all hyped up about this! I realy want to get a time lapse of the moon from moon rise to set today, but doubt that I can stay up that late, and still be able to get up for church at 8 in the morning! There isn't even a sermon at that service! Our outlook up here in the north is a nice cloudless sky from around sixish!

I had thought of taking an image every 5 minutes with my webcam and the scope, and a couple of nice stacks during totality. I'm also considerin trying something like on that wikipedia photo with a normal digital... dunno if i can get the scale though...
