Hi,

Despite cloud, saw the TSE from Chengshanjou, north of Hangzhou.

Cloud was a problem and blocked from 2nd contact for about a minute. Then saw inner corona through clouds. Glorious chromosphere and Diamond Ring at the end. Was really very dark during the totality, the darkest eclipse I have ever experienced.

In the last minute before totality the darkness really plunged.

All in all, not too bad considering it was raining on the way there.

Here's to 11 July 2010,

John
