 Look at all those comets. That's definately a contender for the image of the year.

And here I was thinking about possible extreme coma and poor optics. Sorry Al for being so suspicious of your optics. :D

A possible suggestion: have a poll between these twelve entries so as to get the photo of the year from these photos of the month. Just my two (euro)cents.

Your two cents is always appreciated!

I am reluctant to go one step further and ask people to vote on the 12 monthy winners for an overall winner, as I feel it would be more of a favourites competition rather than one on genuine quality. It was a reason why the names of the "competitors" were removed from the monthy entries half way through the year. I can't do that now as each photo is identified by the entrant.

I say let each winner bask in their glory for their hard work and chosen monthly standing! :D

Im trying to think of the most cost effective way in which a calendar could be produced and sold here online to anyone who wants one.

It would feature the winning pic in each months competition.

Perhaps if the idea got off the ground (because of timing issues involved) the entries in the 2007 competitions (for example) would be turned into the 2009 calendar, 2008 entries would make up the 2010 calendar etc.

Maybe there are members here who are in the printing business who could come up with ideas.
