Interesting that Guy Consolmagno SJ is sharing his interests in extraterrestrial intelligence on both the recent publication and radio.

I wonder if he has been in touch with another Vatican priest Monsignor Balducci who recently came to prominence by receiving an award at the
X Conference 2005 ie. Exo politics in the USA. This conference is a platform for to get the media and politicians to disclose the 'evidence' of UFOs and ET presence.

Monsignor Balducci received the award for courage in ET disclosure at the X-conference April 23,2005. Steven Barrett awarded him for being outspoken and courageous for his public disclosure concerning the importance of witness testimony of the thousands of UFO sightings and his sustaining that God also may have created other civilizations. Monsignor Balducci sustains that the word Universe is mentioned 66 times in Bible and that the phrase Christ, King of the universe has an implicit reference to other planets , galaxies and their possible inhabitants. Monsignor Balducci was applauded by the almost 400 participants of the X-Conference at a gala dinner that Saturday night.

We may have some interesting times ahead with the Vatican.

On the contrary, Monsignor Balducci was a friend and advisor to the last Pope regarding matters which included the ET presence and UFOs. You can check this out for yourself. He has done many interviews for both television and other publications internationally. Unfortunately, none of these interviews have been picked up by main stream TV and press. Although he was interviewed five times on this subject on Italian national television. So, its not a situation that the Vatican knows more about this reality than us citizens, its a situation that the political processes that influence news media coverage of the UFO phenomenon. Its not about media conspiracy in the simplistic sense of that word, it's media complicity meaning that news organisations sometimes cooperate with government authorities to deceive the public about the nature and scope of the UFO phenomenon.. Their is an excellent book on the whole process by a science journalist Terry Hansen called "the Missing Times".

I was only kidding, I see what they're trying to do.
Its better to be prepared if they do actually find something.....

Do you know of any examples of some of these cover ups or supressed news which never made it to the papers or TV.

Dave,

Its no surprise that major incidents never get into the major newspapers but only minor papers that don’t really carry weight on the international scene. If it is not published in the Irish Times or the Irish Independent then it is not important. As I mentioned in a previous post its nothing to do with media conspiracy but media complicity from authorities. I spoke to Dick Almstrom Science Editor of the Irish Times regarding a number of ariel incidents this year over Irish airspace that were multiply witnessed by pilots, ATC and other aircraft. He told me that the policy of the Irish Times is not to report UFO incidents.

Last year an Aer Lingus 737-400 series aircraft serial EI BXD was reportedly damaged after a collision with a UFO over Meath. Also witnessed by a British Midland aircraft crew refs: UPRI 2005.

In April 2005, 7 aircraft in the air witnessed a large triangular shaped craft 600 feet in size at 17,000 feet height over County Meath. ATC had it recorded and all pilots were “told to be quiet” but a crew broke the silence because the crew were witnessing close up the whole craft. The craft had accompanying colour lights moving in unison.

On 30th June 2005, ATC Dublin picked up eleven UFOs. An aircraft on route to Dublin over the Irish sea was harassed by a highly agile, brightly illuminated craft. It was also picked up by UK radar systems. The Irish pilots required help, so an RAF jet came by at a safe distance. The RAF aircraft was no match for the other craft’s movement and speed. The RAF aircraft then escorted the Irish aircraft to a UK airport while the UFO was still with them. On landing the Irish pilots were told by certain people not to say a word what happened. Because pilots are told to shut up, no written records are in pilot’s logs their only recourse is to contact newspapers or organisations that will process the information.

All these incidents, that are usually buried, is usually left to the initiative of the pilot who would approach NARCAP that specialises in pilot reports of UFO incidents or in the Irish cases UPRI. These are non-governmental organisations you don’t hear about in your newspapers. If you want full details of these incidents I would be more than happy to send you the full reports.

I can also understand such difficulties of integrating this reality within our society, it would be seen as a problem for national security for most countries.

What is missing from the news is often far more revealing and significant than what gets reported.

Very interesting Eamon,

This triangular "object" keeps popping up every so often in UFO/UAP reports. You may be privvy to more info than you document, but is this AerLingus UAP similar to www.nidsci.org/news/blacktriangle_aug2002.php

Another site of interest is www.freedomofinfo.org
